Kalin Finsand, founder of Mika Specialty Salon, has been in the industry for more than 20 years & a salon owner since 1998. Prior to setting out on her own, she spent the first half of her career in one of San Francisco's premier salons on fashion savvy Maiden Lane where she dedicated herself to perfecting her technique under the guidance of Yosh Toya, one of our industries for-most masters.

Kalin is committed to staying abreast of global style trends. She is a true artist who knows how to best compliment her clients in styles created to express their unique personalities. Betsy

Betsy prides herself in being the most awesome stylist ever. She's a Libra, enjoys long walks on the beach and has abs of steel. If she had a them song it would be 'These Boots are Made for Shopping'. If you want kick ass hair, don't hesitate to call.

Also, Betsy has been a licensed professional in the bay area for over seven years. Inspired by Beverly Hills salon owners, she began her training in San Francisco with a former Vidal Sassoon educational director and Redken platform artists and a Goldwell color specialist. She continues to perfect her skills and expand her repertoire through continued global education.

Not only is she extremely knowledgeable in both cut and color, she also does special events styling and uses the most innovative micro bonding extensions method. I am a unique stylist in the way I offer my clients caring, personal service. I simply love what I do. I would love to help you with your hair needs. I started my career with two years of extensive training with Hubert Braun platform stylists. I have the ability to style from natural, romantic to theatrical.

Patty Purple

Patty Purple has been doing hair for more than 11 years, and specializes in hair-cutting for men, women and children. Her artistic talent and attention to detail provide client satisfaction. She keeps herself educated and up to date with the current styles and recently attended advanced classes at Vidal Sassoon.

Marica Bledsoe

Marica Bledsoe has over 22 years experience in providing the highest quality service for ladies and men's hair care needs.

Marica moved from Europe to Canada in the mid-seventies. A few years after moving to Canada, Marica attended the exclusive European staffed Abbott Beauty College in Victoria , British Columbia. The instructor's unique experience and training provided an unparalleled and special European perspective on excellence, quality and skill. At the completion of her training, Marica participated in a yearly competition and won the award for British Columbia's "Apprentice of the Year" in 1982.

After beauty college Marica worked at Canada's highly regarded Raymond salon for the next 7 years. Raymond is known for its extensive in-house training programs that keep their stylists on the cutting edge of styles, cutting techniques, coloring, perming and other vital cosmetology skills.

From 1989 thru 1992 Marica owned her own salon called "Perspectives" in North Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1992, Marica married a gentleman from N. California and moved to the United States.

From 1993 to present, Marica has worked in downtown Walnut Creek providing outstanding service to her clientele. During this period she has continued her quest for excellence by attending yearly comprehensive training classes at highly regarded schools such as the Vidal Sassoon Academy, Wella, Rusk, and the Redken Exchange in New York City.

In early 2004, Marica moved to Mika Specialty Salon. The quality of the personnel and service at Mika is unmatched. Marica is excited to be servicing her clientele at such an exclusive salon in one of the most dynamic and upscale downtown districts in California.

Darla Fowler

A versatile stylist who is committed to giving the best all around full service in hair; from hair cutting, color service, stlying,perms and even hair staightening. She is also very accomplished with ethnic hair styling.

Judy Crews

Judy Crews is a top stylist. Her creative techniques and attention to detail derive from her training & education received from Vidal Sassoon. As a stylist working with an international team, Judy demonstrated the Vidal Sassoon philosophy of cutting hair at a fashion show in San Francisco. She is committed to her profession and has helped in the teaching of students and continues her on education and creativity which allows her to always be on top of the latest styles and trends. Veronica Contreras

Veronica Contreras is a friendly, enthusiastic and creative stylist who focuses on providing each client professional service. She is sincere in her attention and goes the extra distance to make sure you are always pleased with the final results. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Veronica began as an apprentice stylist, but quickly moved up to stylist by demonstrating her skills and commitment. She provides full service styling to a diverse range of clientele, always focusing on her client's satisfaction, specializing in Haircuts, Thermal Straightening, Special events styling and other services. Angel Nicole Streeter

Originally from Southern California, International award winning Trendzoom colorist Angel Nicole Streeter started her career working with entertainers in the theater and film industry. With over 10 years of experience and advanced training in the latest color trends using top of the line Goldwell Color and cutting techniques from Toni & Guy, Angel specializes in creating custom hairstyles for men and women. Angel is also certified in Thermal Reconditioning — a permanent hair straightening process.
